About us
We are a company specialized in 3D Laser Scanning or Marine LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) services, digitization and measurement with a laser scanner through the collection, analysis, presentation and delivery of geospatial information (Reality Capture).
We carry out high definition geometric capture and documentation, meticulously reconstructing the geometry of objects or infrastructures using a point cloud, particularly useful for construction or maintenance projects in the Naval industry (BWTS - Ballast Water Treatment System, EGCS - Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, Chiller System - Scrubbers).
3D scanner services
Our work based on 3D laser scanner technology allows us to generate from the data collected in a short time on board the ship a large amount of geometric documentation using point cloud editing and processing software. By having all the information in the files generated by laser scanning, it is possible to produce a large number of products without having to re-capture data in the field and the possibility of using it in the most common modeling software: Faro Scene, Autocad, Revit, Aarchicad, Solidworks, Tekla, Inventor and others. Generating point clouds in formats .FLS, E57, PTS, LAS, LAZ, TXT, XYZ, PTX, etc.
"As-Built" Models
The capture systems we use offer high-precision 3D data, as well as images at a laser scanning speed of up to 1 million points per second with a range of up to 330 m, to achieve color point clouds with high level of detail and a clarity of the real world. The purpose is to create a point cloud from geometric samples on the surface of the object. These laser scanned points can then be used to extrapolate the shape of the object for engineering and shipbuilding or reverse engineering applications.
3D laser scanning and modeling naval industry
The traditional approach when conducting ship verifications is to bring designers and / or engineers on board where, using tape measures, they record measurements of existing systems and spaces. These measurements are used to develop scope and construction documents. However, the uncertainty of the measurements requires that tolerances be included to account for discrepancies between measurements and reality. These variations can be costly and / or prevent the installation of new equipment in a certain location because the space was considered too small, when in fact there was adequate free space. Marine laser scanning enables more efficient overhauls and conversions that will benefit not only the owner but the shipyard as well.
BWT (Ballast Water Treatment) and EGCS 3D scanning projects
The early availability of detailed and accurate 3D studies from laser scan data allows shipyards to get ahead of the curve in planning the project, designing the workover, and procuring materials ready to go to work as soon as the ship reaches the repair dock. Using scan helps to shorten downtime.
We offer an extremely fast measurement process and provide an accurate 3D scan of the critical pump and pipe network for the BWT (Ballast Water Treatment) system so that engineers can:
- Agree on an efficient ballast water management plan
- Accurately implement the BWT plan
- Easily install the BWT system
- Keep complete records of the area of interest.
This same solution is applicable for the EGCS - Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, Chiller System and Scrubbers.
3D laser capture in shipbuilding
The key to using competitive technology is being able to capture the boat "in operation" in 3D quickly, accurately and economically.
The use of laser scanning in shipbuilding is a technology that helps shipyards deliver projects faster, more efficiently and with less risk. We are a company that specializes in the fast and accurate capture of the current conditions of ships and port facilities, using the latest proven technologies in laser scanning to achieve best practices in the repair of boats and new construction.
We collaborate with naval companies and field specialists and offer high quality services for shipping companies in all Spanish ports (Valencia, Algeciras, Barcelona, Las Palmas, Cartagena, Bilbao, Santander ...), Europe and North Africa.
Yacht laser scanning for fast and accurate retrofit
3D Laser scanning is truly revolutionizing the yacht building industry by increasing quality and efficiency for a range of stakeholders. From planning to building and furnishing, laser scanning provides a reliable solution when it has to be right.
By their very nature ships are generally expensive to transport for scanning. Our 3D engineers sets up equipment on-site and have the ability to move between rooms and then join scans together to create a design layout to high accuracy in 3D interior space is possible. Coupled with existing external ship design, creates a cohesive whole. colorized 3D point cloud scans and panoramic images allows to see the yacht data in ways previously not possible. It is important to understand that a 3D scan is the first part of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) journey.
Special industrial 3D scanning projects
Our specialized professional 3D scanning solutions are applicable in different fields: architecture, engineering, industry, etc. Our technology allows us to expand and explore different applications that until today were limited to traditional techniques, with the time and cost savings that they entail.
Laser scanner and 3D scanner technology is an indispensable tool for sectors such as industrial metrology, the possibility of obtaining a virtual model completely faithful to the original in high resolution as reverse engineering opens a huge field of possibilities for different disciplines.
We are able to capture details of elements from minimum dimensions to infrastructures of hundreds of meters, providing our clients with point clouds, polygon meshes or digital models as needed.
Reverse engineering projects
The 3D scanner is ideal for reverse engineering. The collected data is projected as a three-dimensional image of the scanned object. This allows us to create virtual assemblies that allow us to detect overlap and check the fit of parts.
A 3D laser scanner can be used to scan / analyze an object or any naval facility to collect data on its shape and possibly its appearance (color and / or texture). The collected data can be used to build a 3D digital model.
Point cloud or polygon mesh models can be used to reverse engineer custom plans or manufacture replacement parts. 3D printing / machining solutions are also discussed based on your need and part materials.
